DIRECTORATE OF PUBLIC RELATION (DPR)
Project Introduction:-
The Directorate of Public Relations Department functions as a channel between the Government and the people of Chhattisgarh for flow of information. The Department is disseminating information regarding various programmes and policies of the Government to the masses through media, so that people can be benefited. CHiPS has developed a web portal www.dprcg.gov.in for department. The website has database facilities. The web site is updated daily for press releases/news photographs etc. The website has archive of all development features issued by the department. The site also comprises the profile of the State Govt. The department proposes to make it more user-friendly and comprehensive.
The Directorate of Public Relations, Chhattisgarh, Raipur, hereinafter called 'DPR C.G.'. Currently, the DPR website is hosted in CHiPS server, Raipur.
Features of Websites:-
o Searching - All content in Drupal is fully indexed and searchable at all times, with an advanced search also available. Additional modules can also provide sortable, faceted search
o Configurable Menus - Add multiple menus of any depth - primary, secondary, and deeper.
o SEO-friendly URLs - Automatic search engine-friendly links that are customizable, and can also redirect multiple paths to avoid duplicate content
o Site Map - Is a hierarchical list of pages on your website that can be automatically submitted at a regular interval to search engines.
o User Management Features: - Assign groups of permissions to roles for highly specific access control. Users can register and authenticate locally or use an external authentication sources.Block problematic users, ban IP addresses, host names.
o Content Management Features: Allows users to configure their site’s back-end as opposed to the front-end that visitors access
o Security Features: Restricts access so that some users may view content that is hidden from others
Main task of CHiPS:
o Deployed 4 (Four) professionals at DPR C.G. premises in Raipur for the task o Modification in content of website as approved by the DPR C.G. officials
o Maintaining the records of digitized content collected from the DPR C.G. officials o Uploading of the approved news/ photographs and modification of other relevant web pages on DPR C.G. website
o Conduct review of the system and suggest steps to maximize performance of computing environment
